2 PETER PARKERS Appear in Across the Spider-Verse

According to a source, the corresponding editions of Peter Parker from the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the PlayStation Universe will be playable characters in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.

If a recent claim is to be trusted, Marvel fans may expect to see 2 well-loved incarnations of Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the greatly awaited sequel to Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

This news comes as fans eagerly await the release of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

As reported by The Cosmic Circus, several sources claim that Sony Pictures Animation’s Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will reveal respectively the variant of Peter Parker from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (performed in real-time by Tom Holland) as well as the edition of Peter Parker from the PlayStation Spider-Man Universe. Both versions of the game Peter Parker will be voiced by Yuri Lowenthal.

The Holland-esque variation of Peter shown in Across the Spider-Verse and the real-time form of the character portrayed in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) are reportedly the same. This information was provided by The Cosmic Circus.

In a similar vein, the Peter Parker persona that gamers originally took control of in Marvel’s Spider-Man, which was created by Insomniac Games, will carry over into the Lowenthal-esque rendition of the character.

Having said that, it is not certain at this time whether or not Holland and Lowenthal will really repeat their part in Across the Spider-Verse.

It’s fascinating to note that this is not the 1st story of its like to come to light. It was reported earlier by the Twitter scooper @EmberOnMain that Across the Spider-Verse would not only feature Tom Holland’s interpretation of Spider-Man, and moreover Tobey Maguire’s interpretation of the hero from the Spider-Man films directed by Sam Raimi and Andrew Garfield’s interpretation of the character from the Amazing Spider-Man films directed by Marc Webb.

Interestingly, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse has “conversations” concerning prospective appearances by Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield.

However, it is not known whether these cameos would appear in Across the Spider-Verse or in the upcoming sequel Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse.

In any event, @EmberOnMain has established itself as a trustworthy source of information on Spider-Man in its own right. They have been the first to present clear proof of Maguire and Garfield’s reprisals in the 2021 MCU film Spider-Man: No Way Home.

This was at a time when Sony and Marvel were still attempting to maintain their participation “undercover”. Additionally, @EmberOnMain broke the news many months prior to it being actually revealed that No Way Home will be receiving an extended edit.
