Everything You Need to Know About Horimiya Season 2

HERO is the creator of the manga series Hori-san to Miyamura-kun, which he has also illustrated. From February 2007 and March 2008, it was first released online on the author’s website, Dokkai Ahen. Subsequently, Square Enix packaged the pieces into 10 volumes from October 2008 to December 2011.

Hori-san to Miyamura-kun Omake is the name given to supplementary chapters of the side tale that are also released. Since 2012, a collection of original video animations (OVAs) has been created based on the original series.

From October 2011 until March 2021, a reworked edition of the manga that was written and illustrated by Daisuke Hagiwara and named Horimiya was released.

From the 10th of January to the 4th of April, 2021, an anime television series adaption created by CloverWorks studio was shown in Japan. We will let you know in this piece of writing whether or not you can anticipate watching the 2nd season of the anime series Horimiya.

So, will there be 2nd season of Horimiya anime? There will not be a second season of the show, since the manga has reached its conclusion and the Horimiya anime, which only ran for one season, has already adopted the entirety of the manga and its plot.

There are no extra side tales that could be made into an OVA or an ONA, much alone an entire season’s worth of content in this series. The anime series Horimiya has been canceled, and there will not be a second season.

The next section of this post is going to provide you with all of the information, that is associated with the possibility of Horimiya having a second season.

You will learn a lot more information about this intriguing anime series, including its possible debut schedule, whether or not there is a teaser, what the tale might be about, and lots more.

When Will Horimiya Season 2 Premiere? Will There Ever Be a Season 2?

In April 2012, the creator of the manga HERO made the formal announcement that an anime version was in the process of being created.

The author also said that it had been two to three years since the production plan was certified. In May 2012, it was announced that the series will be an OVA.

The original video animation (OVA) was separately made by the graphic design business OOZ Inc., in contrast to the traditional productions that are carried out by the major editors of the industry through the production committees.

Shingo Natsume of Hoods Entertainment was in charge of directing the 1st episode, while Yuniko Ayana and Kenichi Kutsuna were the ones responsible for the screenplays and character designs, respectively.

The production crew stayed the same for the 2nd episode, with the exception of Erukin Kawabata, who took Shingo Natsume’s position as a member of the production team.

In order to facilitate the creation of the 3rd episode, Tarō Yamada established his own studio known as Marone. Tetsuo Hirakawa was given the responsibility of directing the episode.

At Gonzo Studio, Kazuya Aiura was in charge of directing the 4th episode, which was centered on a storyline created by Akira Nishimori.

On September 26, 2012, the 1st episode of the original video animation was made available. The 2nd and 3rd versions were made available to the public on March 25th, 2014, and 2015, accordingly.

On December 14, 2018, the 4th episode was made available to the public. The 5th and 6th were supposed to be out in May of 2021, however, they didn’t come out until the 25th of that same month.

In September 2020, it was revealed that the story would be adapted into a full-length anime television series. Masashi Ishihama was in charge of directing the animation at CloverWorks.

Takao Yoshioka was in charge of overseeing the screenplays, while Haruko Iizuka contributed to the project as a character artist. Masaru Yokoyama was responsible for composing the original score for the anime.

It was first shown on Tokyo MX, GYT, GTV, and BS11 in Japan; afterward, it was broadcast on MBS and AT-X27. The broadcast ran from January 10, 2021, through April 4, 2021.

The series is comprised of a total of 13 episodes, and it is presented in a total of 7 Blu-ray/DVD cases.

Wakanim began airing a dubbed version of the show on June 29, 2021.  The series is shown on bilibili across mainland China. The content is now being streamed on bilibili after Medialink bought the rights to distribute it throughout Southeast Asia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau.

Yoh Kamiyama was the one who created the opening song for the series, which was named “Iro kōsui,” and the song that Friends sang, which was called “Yakusoku,” was used as the concluding song.

The whole of the manga was turned into Horimiya’s first season. Because there is no source material left to adapt, producing the 2nd season of Horimiya is next to unachievable at this point.

It is conceivable that there may be a 2nd season, but this will only happen if the author chooses to either extend the manga, which is extremely unlikely or develop an original narrative, which also does not appear probable.

2nd Season Teaser For Horimiya

Horimiya has not released a trailer for its upcoming 2nd season, and given the likelihood that the show will not be renewed for a 2nd season, it is quite unlikely that we will ever see a trailer for the show. A trailer is not required in the slightest since there is nothing to reveal at this time.

Horimiya Season 2 Cast

We are operating on the assumption that the main characters will be back for the 2nd season, should there be one. In the event, that the story of Horimiya was to be continued in any way, there are a number of characters that may make a comeback, and if that did happen, they would most likely do so again, along with a whole lot of new people.

However, given that there won’t be any more tales set in the realm of Horimiya, there isn’t really much to talk about in this particular context.

The 2 most important characters from the series, both of whom are quite likely to appear again, are as follows:

Kyōko Hori

Kyko is a stunning young lady who excels academically and enjoys a lot of popularity at her high school; however, when she is at home, she adopts an entirely distinct look.

She does this by changing her clothes, removing her makeup, pulling her hair back, and performing chores around the house while also looking after her younger brother.

When Izumi finds her at home as she is taking Souta home, they both come to the conclusion that they should keep their actual appearances a secret from their friends.

She develops love emotions for Miyamura as their relationship progresses. When she was sick with a cold, she claims to have heard his confession in its entirety and that she heard all he said.

They start dating when she tells her father that Izumi is her lover in response to his inquiry about where she has been spending her time.

Izumi Miyamura

Izumi gives the impression of being a scary nerdy fanboy otaku who stays to himself in his own little nook at school. Nevertheless, when he leaves the school grounds, he transforms into an entirely different person.

His off-campus persona is characterized as being beautiful and easygoing, with a hardcore style that includes nine piercings along with tat.

Regardless of the impression he gives at school, he just has a passing interest in comics and his grades aren’t very impressive. His mother and father own and operate a patisserie.

He made peace with the fact that he lived a lonely life, but after discovering that Kyōko doesn’t care about how he looks, he gradually acquired the trust and friendship of his other students.

Izumi covers her tattoos and piercings by growing her hair long and wearing long-sleeved clothing. She also grows her hair long so that she can conceal her ear piercings.

Even when she is being hostile, he finds the real Kyōko to be endearing and adorable. He had no problem becoming Kyōko’s friend, however, his straightforward demeanor enabled him to share with her the qualities that he admired most in her.

After Kyko’s father inquired as to whether or not Izumi was seeing Kyko, the two took their relationship to the next level and became an official couple.

The Storyline For Horimiya Season 2

It is uncertain what the storyline of Horimiya’s possible season 2 would include since it would need an adaptation of a new narrative produced by the author, and there is currently no such material.

Because the manga was made into an anime for a single season and the adaptation of it was completed, there are no further manga tales that may be adjusted.

Nevertheless, what we will provide to you is a concise summary of the narrative of the series, so that you will be aware of what to anticipate.

Kyko Hori is a well-liked and cheerful girl who is now in the 2nd year of her high school career at Katagiri. Because of the demands of their jobs, her parents are often away from the house, and as a result, she provides devoted attention to her little brother, Sōta.

Izumi Miyamura, a student of Kyōko’s who is neglected by everyone owing to his look as an otaku as well as his quiet and isolated personality, saves the latter after she has fallen by complete and utter coincidence.

Kyōko doesn’t really identify her boyfriend because, when he is not at school, he presents himself as an appealing kid who proudly wears piercings and tattoos. These physical manifestations are a consequence of a troubled upbringing.

After sharing an increasing amount of time alongside, the two are able to reveal aspects of their personalities to one another that are hidden from the others. This leads to the two first being friends and then developing into an odd relationship.

Izumi is able to improve his self-confidence and socialize more easily with his classmates as a result of the progression of his love life since his classmates are also going through a variety of love ups and downs.
