James Gunn Responds Flawlessly to a Fan Saying Batman Is Superior to GOTG

James Gunn is not flummoxed when it comes to dealing with Twitter trolls who like Batman more than the Guardians of the Galaxy. In fact, he is well-prepared to do so.

Trolls who try to convince James Gunn that Batman is superior to the Guardians of the Galaxy are an annoyance to him to the point of impatience.

In recent years, there has been a growing number of individuals who straddle the boundary between Marvel and DC, but Gunn stands out as one of the more fascinating instances of this trend.

He is most well-known for directing the Guardians of the Galaxy films for the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), although before filming the third installment in the series, he directed The Suicide Squad for the DC Extended Universe (DCEU).

Back in August, the gory effort garnered praise from both fans and reviewers, and Gunn hopes to remain in that world for a little while longer with the forthcoming HBO Max spin-off Peacemaker.

At the moment, Gunn is working quite hard on the direction of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. This will very certainly be his last appearance in a Marvel film, and it’s possible that other of the franchise’s characters may also bow out with him.

The third installment of the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise is expected to hit theaters in May of 2023, and it will include the return of the majority of the film’s original ensemble, featuring stars Chris Pratt and Zoe Saldana.

Early reviews from the performers have pointed to the film as an emotionally engaging journey, but the specifics of the plot are still being kept under wraps for now.

Gunn is well-known for his ability to reply to a wide variety of comments made on social media, in addition to producing vibrant movies with excellent soundtracks.

Even though he often provides insightful commentary on his films, he is not the kind of person to dismiss the more absurd responses that are sent in his direction.

On Sunday, Gunn responded to a person who, for what seems to be no reason, had informed him that Batman is a more compelling character than the Guardians of the Galaxy.

The finest reaction that could have been given came from Gunn, who said, “I come to Twitter for keen insights like this, thank you.” This is the proper method to deal with trolls and everybody should do it.

While you consider that Gunn had been just remarking on Drax’s popularity before this, when he was working on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, you have to wonder why someone felt the need to weigh in with a comparison that was completely unnecessary.

No one will deny that Batman is an amazing character, despite the fact that he is one of the most well-known and well-respected superheroes in history.

While this is true, it does not detract from the fact that the Guardians add something unique to the world of comic books, nor does it diminish their status as characters.

The year 2022 is going to be a huge one for Batman owing to films such As The Batman and The Flash, however, that doesn’t mean the Guardians are going to be sitting around doing nothing.

The whole cast will make an appearance in the Disney+ event titled “The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special” before the release of Volume 3.

Even though some fans feel the need to differentiate between Batman and the Guardians of the Galaxy, it is safe to say that there is room for both of these superhero projects to be released in the next few years.

Given the number of superhero films coming out in the following years, it is safe to assume that there is room for both. Let’s simply come to an agreement that everyone should be free to enjoy whatever it is that they do.
